I love my job as a counselor at Claremont High School. The students here are amazing in so many ways and the parents and community are very supportive of education. Our faculty and staff care immensely about education and about individual students. I have high achieving students on my caseload as well as those who are not interested in academics at all. My goal is to encourage each student to find his or her niche in school, whether it’s in the classroom, on the stage, or in an Regional Occupation Program (ROP) class. Every student needs some reason to want to get up in the morning to come to school in order to get maximum benefit from what we have to offer here at Claremont High. While not all students will earn a 4.0 grade point average during their time here, each student should graduate with a better idea of where they are going to fit into this world, where they can make a contribution to others, and where they will find a purpose for their lives. I hope to assist in that process.
