Wolfpack wins final home game

Claremont will begin the 2009 softball season with a ten-month home win streak, thanks to an 11-8 victory Friday over Rancho Cucamonga in the final home game of 2008.
The Wolfpack fired early, and scored
five runs before a single out was recorded. Although Rancho Cucamonga
slowly whittled away, the Wolfpack lead proved
safe.
When the 2009 season begins next March, ten months will have passed since the Wolfpack lost at home. The 2008 season concluded with a loss 17-2 loss at Etiwanda and a 9-1 loss at Los Osos in the final game of the season.
