Portraits of Student Achievement

The following Achievement Snapshots are designed to provide the community with specific illustrations of improved student achievement that have been realized during the past school year. This report is a supplement to the District's Achievements Report. In addition, each school site will develop similar reports which will become an integral part of their school plan. The names are fictitious although the Snapshots represent a real student's progress.

The State of California mandates that all second through eleventh grade students take the Stanford-9 tests. They are nationally norm-referenced achievement tests which means Claremont students' scores are compared against those of other students throughout the state and nation who have taken the tests. These tests attempt to assess learning in the basic skills of reading, mathematics, language, science, and social science.end
