Activities/Services Description
America Reads Tutors – 2x weekly – to read individually with third grade students – this year we have about 5 tutors.
LEEP Sixth grade students participate in weekly environmental science classes instructed by Pitzer students. Curriculum is designed by our teachers and their students. Students go to Field Station for about 10 weeks in the spring. Program is directed by Paul Faulstich.
Internships in Psychology Class Student of professor Rick Tsujimotos psychology class, volunteers to help out in Special Education class at Sumner Elementary school as well as volunteering under the supervision of School Psychologist at Chaparral Elementary. Helps out in the classroom, teach two half-hour Social Skills Classes (one to 1st-3rd graders, another 5-th graders), and shadow/assist (minorly) with observation/assessment of students.
