Pitzer College
Activities/Services Description
Video Production. College students work with SAHS students as part of their senior projects.
Student teachers. College students gain their student teaching experience working in the classroom at SAHS.
Job Placements  Workability and Pitzer work together to provide job placements for Special Education students with landscaping crews.
College Mentors College students work with students in areas of difficulty as part of their fieldwork.
Science Teaching Volunteer Program Science students plan and carry out lessons and match each up with an elementary school teacher. They go in usually once a week and present the lessons to enrich the science curriculum. The number of volunteers varies a lot from semester to semester.
Jumpstart Program Early childhood education program that focuses on literacy, language and social skills, is in 3 Claremont Unified School District preschools. We just started our program in CUSD this year.
