| America Reads – Pomona College |
America Reads tutors work with various primary students in grades 2 and 3. Ongoing throughout the year. Tutors are from various colleges. |
| Fourth Grade Students – Day at CMC |
Fourth graders spend a day at CMC meeting students, visiting classes, tour the campus, are exposed to science demonstrations at the Keck Science Building and eat lunch with the students. The focus is to set long-term goals (College) for some our low SES students and/or underperforming students. |
| LEEP Program – Paul Faulstich Pitzer College |
Fifth grade students work with Pitzer students studying ecology at the Bernard Field Station here in Claremont. This is an 8-session program developed by Dr. Faulstich and the use of grant money. |
| Tutoring Program at the Claremont Village Apartments – Lissa Petersen and The Claremont Colleges student volunteers |
Lissa Petersen works with Shirley Butler from Pomona USD to provide funding and Pitzer student volunteers for tutoring and homework help at the Claremont Village Apartments. Mountain View has approximately 84 students residing in the apartments.Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. |

Tutors assist teachers at various locations in the District. There are currently 11 college students involved in this program. |
