Ready to Learn—Ready to Teach


It is the intent of the Claremont Unified School District Board of Education to continue a dialogue with the community in order to discuss directions for the District over the next five years. The basic goals to guide the District's direction are:

Goal 1 Reduce Class Size
  Continue class size reduction in nexus with facilities availability, fiscal reform, curriculum and staff development, and student achievement.
Goal 2 Support Professional Growth and Justly Compensate Staff Members of the Claremont Unified School District
  Promote excellence and professionalism, provide compensation that will keep each employee group at or above the median for comparable districts.
Goal 3 Modernize Facilities and Equipment
  Update school facilities and equipment to meet current and future educational and technological needs to improve the learning environment for students and staff.
Goal 4 Integrate Technology into Student Learning
  Review and implement an integrated Master Technology Plan K-12, which includes the following elements: computer literacy for students and staff; integration of systems technology for administrative purposes; and integration of technology into curriculum with appropriate staff development.
Goal 5 Students Come to School Ready to Learn
  Work with parents and our community so that students come to school ready to learn.
Goal 6 Provide Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO)
  Extend learning opportunities beyond the current school day.
Goal 7 Asset Management
  Prepare and implement a strategic plan of asset management which is consistent with the findings of the Citizen Asset Management Committee and the current and future needs of the District to fulfill its mission.
Goal 8 Instructional Delivery
  Review and support initiatives that improve the instructional delivery systems for all students.
