Biographical Sketch

Beth Bingham was elected to the Claremont Board of Education in November of 2007. She has been Senior Minister at Pilgrim Congregational Church in Pomona since 1993, having also served churches in Wisconsin and Alaska. Beth graduated with honors from Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa, received a Master of Arts in Religion from Yale Divinity School, and a Doctor of Ministry Degree from Garrett Evangelical Theological Seminary.

Beth and her family moved to Claremont in 1999. She has been active in the Claremont Schools as a parent volunteer, a Baseball Booster Officer, a speaker at the 2007 Baccalaureate, and as Chair of the District Budget Advisory Committee in 2004. She is a member of the Los Angeles County Fair Association, Chair of the Child Development Center at Fairplex, a Rotarian, and a member of the Board of Trustees of Piedmont College in Demorest, GA. She also served as chair of the Claremont Youth Partnership and has served on the board, and as president of the Pomona Valley YMCA.

Her son Teddy graduated from Claremont High School in 2007 and is presently a student at Pomona College. Her husband Paul is in sales with Serna Relocation Systems, a Mayflower Van Line agency located in Pomona.
